Ghost of the Battle of Guilford Courthouse: An American Revolutionary War Ghost Story

Janet has never believed in ghosts, but after her sister’s experiences living near the Guilford Courthouse Battleground in Greensboro, North Carolina, she decided she had to write this ghost story.

Cans falling off pantry shelves, commodes flushing when no one was in the bathroom, and the occasional feeling that there was someone in the newly-constructed condominium Janet’s sister and roommate lived in were never explained.

This short story is about a Scottish soldier who lost his arm in the Battle of Guilford Courthouse on March 15, 1781 and how he still roams the area searching for his long-lost love, Mary, he left in Scotland.
